Inspiring Change For a Greener Future
December 09, 2024
Led by senior faculty and Head of Corporate Partnerships, Dr. Linda Deigh, the SUST 1100 Enhancing Sustainability on Campus course at Webster Leiden Campus made an impact on sustainability efforts.
As part of the final section of the course, students showcased their research project ideas to address this issue. An in-depth survey conducted by the class and distributed to the Webster Leiden community identified areas where sustainability needs more attention and where it is already thriving.
Drawing inspiration from the survey results, students developed tangible solutions to enhance sustainability on campus. The final poster presentations were impressive, featuring innovative proposals, such as conserving energy by turning off computers, creating awareness by establishing a campus sustainability committee and promoting sustainable practices by creating an app. These solutions are tools that are interconnected with the potential of creating a lasting impact.
The event was a resounding success, demonstrating the students' dedication to drive change after months of hard work of research. Webster Leiden Campus is proud to support our students in fostering a greener campus, encouraging a collective commitment to keep encouraging sustainability as a shared priority.
