Successful Spring Open Day Held at Webster Leiden Campus

Recently, Webster Leiden Campus opened its doors for an engaging in-person Open Day, offering prospective students and families a firsthand look at academic programs, campus life and international community.  

A Warm Welcome on Campus 

From the moment guests arrived, there was a vibrant energy on campus. The sun was shining, the campus was alive with energy and our beloved mascot, the Gorlok, even made a surprise appearance to kick off the event with some fun photo ops and school spirit! 

The day began with a Welcome to Webster session, featuring remarks from Academic Director, Dr. Sheetal Shah, who shared insights into Webster's global network, American liberal arts approach and commitment to student-centered education. 

Practical Information  

The Admissions Team and Student Ambassadors hosted an informative Admissions and Student Life presentation, including a Q&A. Attendees learned about programs, application requirements, immigration support, housing opportunities, student life and more.  

A Taste of the Classroom 

After a coffee break, students joined an interactive session with faculty member Dr. Linda Deigh, whose Creative Problem-Solving workshop encouraged participants to collaborate, think critically and experience the dynamic classroom environment that defines Webster’s academic experience. 

Campus and Housing Tour  

The afternoon continued with a guided Campus and Housing Tour, exploring key facilities that define the student experience at Webster Leiden. The tour included classrooms, study rooms, student lounge and library, providing a glimpse into the academic environment.  

Attendees also toured the Living and Learning Center (LLC), the student housing building, which offers 60-plus private furnished studio apartments and a private courtyard, student lounge and bike shed.  

Throughout the tour, current students shared personal insights and highlights of life in Leiden. 

Personal Connection 

The event concluded with Snacks and Chats, an informal moment for students and parents to connect directly with faculty, staff and current students.
