Study Abroad Information and Resources

If you are eager to find out more about studying abroad, please meet with a study abroad advisor or your academic advisor.

Then, apply in Terra Dotta if you are a Webster student. For non-Webster students, apply as a non-degree seeking student. After receiving your credentials, apply in Terra Dotta.

Afterward, you’ll want to review the visa and permit requirements by visiting our Visas and Permits page.

We encourage student mobility internationally and make it easy to all qualified students to study abroad. You may choose to study one term or more at one of our international campuses without interrupting your program of studies. Simply start the process two terms ahead of your planned travel date by meeting with your academic advisor.

Minimum Requirements

  • Undergraduate student: must have successfully completed a minimum of 15 credit hours at Webster University Leiden Campus at time of international travel.
  • Graduate student: must have successfully completed a minimum of 9 credit hours at Webster University Leiden Campus at time of international travel.
  • Must be in good academic standing.
    • Minimum GPA 2.5 for undergraduate students or 3.0 for graduate students.
  • Must be in good financial standing with the Business office.
  • Must be in good social standing, complying with Webster’s student conduct policy.

Webster World Traveler Award

The Webster World Traveler Program (WWTP) is an award that provides airfare assistance to full-time undergraduate or graduate students at Webster University to study abroad on a Webster study abroad program. Students attending academic year/semester/term long programs are eligible for up to $1,000 and students on short-term programs are eligible for up to $500.

Undergraduate students must have earned at least 15 credit hours at Webster University and graduate students must have earned at least 9 credit hours at Webster University in order to be eligible for the award. All applicants must be in good academic, social and financial standing with the university.

Applicants must submit the online application by the appropriate study abroad deadline. Late applications will not be accepted. The WWTP is the only Webster study abroad scholarship that requires a separate application.

Tuition Fees

While studying abroad you remain a Webster Leiden student and continue to pay your tuition fees to the Business office at your home campus.

The WINS (Webster International Network of Schools) program allows students outside the Webster University network to study abroad. If you choose to study at Webster Leiden, the credits you obtain will count towards the institution of higher learning you are currently registered in.

Specialized Summer Study Abroad: 4 Weeks, 4 Credits

In Summer 2024, Webster University is launching new four-week Study Abroad sessions at three international campuses: Geneva, Leiden and Vienna.

Summer 1 is June 3-28, and Summer 2 is July 1-26. Each four-week session will host thematic programs comprised of a three-credit core course and a one-credit experiential learning course.
